Get involved
How can you take part? Children can help in many ways:
Can anything go wrong? Will it make anything get better? All sorts of things can go wrong. Things you enjoy, like eating sweets and playing games, can go wrong. Things can go wrong when you take medicines, and things can go wrong when you don’t take medicines. If you take part in research, the doctors and nurses will tell you all they can about what might go wrong. They will answer all your questions. You don’t have to take part if you don’t want to. The reason for doing research is to help poorly children get better. If you help with research, you might find that you get better, but nobody can be sure that you will get better. You might find that you try really hard to help with research but nothing gets better. Whatever happens, the doctors will share what they learn with other doctors, and that will help someone. Get in touch and take part If you would like to know more about taking part in research, please ask your parents or other carers first. Then, if they say so, you may ask us how you can take part. We will be very pleased to hear from you. |
