Who we are

Hi there!

We are the Trent Local Children’s Research Network (TLCRN). We hope you will like our website. You will find pages in our website for children and grown-ups. You may look at any of the pages. The children’s pages are easier to read and more fun!

We are a small team. Most of us work in a hospital in Nottingham, England. We also work in other hospitals in the East Midlands. This website tells you more about us. It tells you what we do. It invites you to help us.

There are five other Local Children’s Research Networks in England and North Wales. They have their own websites. You will find links to them here.

All six Local Children’s Research Networks are in the Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN). The MCRN is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The UK Department of Health gives us money so that we can do our work.

There are Research Networks in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, too. Click here to find links to their websites.

The Trent Local Children’s Research Network operates as part of the NIHR Medicines for Children Research Network in England. It is part of the National Institute for Health Research and forms part of the UK Clinical Research Network. The Networks support and deliver high quality clinical research studies.
