Children's Clinical Research Facility

The grand opening of the new Childrens Clinical Research Facility took place on 3rd February 2010 in Childrens Outpatients South.

This new facility has been funded by Nottingham University Biomedical Research Unit, NUH R&D department and Trent Local Childrens ResearchNetwork (TLCRN). This facility will make it easier to recruit children and their families into clinical trials within a child friendly environment. This will help us to recruit to high quality trials which will ensure safe, effective and acceptable medicines for children are identified.

TLCRN is part of the Medicines for Childrens Research Network which is part of a National Government Initiative to improve the way large scale research into childrens medicines is carried out. Our network has a large portfolio of studies which cover topics within endocrine, neurology, neonatology, respiratory, surgery, emergency medicine, rheumatology, allergies, intensive care, cardiology, gastroenterologyand nephrology. If you are interested in finding out about any of these studies please either call our office on x 61612 (E floor, east block) or pop in to our new CRF and we will be pleased to meet you.
