Who we are

We are the Trent Local Children’s Research Network (TLCRN). We are one of six local networks that together form the Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN). You can find out about the other local networks through the MCRN website. The MCRN is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). We are funded by the UK Department of Health, so we do not use money that could be spent on NHS patients.

In addition to the MCRN, there are other topic-specific networks, and the Comprehensive Research Networks. Between us, we cover the whole of the UK, and you can find out more from the UKCRN.

The Trent Local Children’s Research Network operates as part of the NIHR Medicines for Children Research Network in England. It is part of the National Institute for Health Research and forms part of the UK Clinical Research Network. The Networks support and deliver high quality clinical research studies.
